Encouragement for Today...

June 17, 2022

“Teach me, O Lord, the way of Thy statutes, and I shall observe it to the end.“ (Ps.

119:33)

To observe means to take special note of and then apply to one’s life. In order to do this until the end of one’s life takes special discipline. The discipline needed is often interrupted in this day of distractions and distortions. We are distracted by busyness. We are distracted by so many venues of entertainment. We are distracted by the demands of time. And then there are the distortions. Distortions about faith, moral, personal rights and being so offended at every little thing.

To observe the truth to the end in this world of distractions and distortions takes discipline. Discipline is the ability to continue on a desired path with a dedicated purpose! Do I have a deep and dedicated purpose to grow in Christ until the day I see Him through the observation of truth? I need to keep on keeping on until the day I see my Savior’s face for the first time!
